The Cult of We is a Wall Street Journal bestseller and was longlisted for the Financial Times and McKinsey Business Book of the Year award. It is the definitive inside story of WeWork, its audacious founder, and what its epic unraveling says about a financial system drunk on the elixir of Silicon Valley innovation—from the Wall Street Journal correspondents (recently featured in the WeWork Hulu documentary) whose scoop-filled reporting hastened the company’s downfall.

The conversation will be moderated by Barron’s reporter Carleton English.

Maureen Farrell has been a reporter at The Wall Street Journal since 2013. She previously worked at Forbes, Debtwire, and Mergermarket. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two daughters.

Eliot Brown covers startups and venture capital for The Wall Street Journal. He joined the Journal in 2010 to cover real estate, and previously worked at The New York Observer. He lives in San Francisco.

Carleton English is a reporter at Barron’s covering financial markets and asset managers. She was previously the hedge fund reporter at the New York Post and covered energy and banks for TheStreet. Prior to moving to journalism, Carleton worked in wealth management.
