New York Press Club Remembers Mark Lieberman

The New York Press Club mourns the loss of a past President, longtime board member and the most recent President of the New York Press Club Foundation. Mark Lieberman was a journalist, a friend and a staunch supporter of the First Amendment. His voice will be missed. Our condolences to Mark’s wife of more than 50 years, Candy, and their children.

Mark was a creator of the Fair Fare, a former New York Daily News reporter, researcher, banker, and Fox Business Senior Economist.

Mark graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1969. He had been president of the New York Press Club, the Inner Circle and Congregation Mount Sinai and a member of the board of trustees of the New York Community Service Society, City Limits Magazine, Citizen’s Union, East Midwood Jewish Center and the Brooklyn Public Library; and a member of the New York Financial Writers Association, the Silurians, the National Association of Business Economists and of SABRE.

When it’s again safe to congregate, there will be a memorial celebration of his life. Donations may be sent to the New York Community Service Society.
