Essays of E.B. White – the collection, some of which appeared in Harper’s magazine, includes the famous “Here Is New York” and “The Eye of Edna,” a witty essay on the media’s coverage of storms, circa 1960. E.B. White joined the staff of The New Yorker in its infancy and is the co-author, with William Strunk, of every writer’s best friend, The Elements of Style.
