The New York Press Club Is Pleased To Extend A One-Year Free Membership To Recent Graduates Of Journalism Master’s Programs In NYC
Starting this year, the New York Press Club is extending an invitation to recent graduates from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and Columbia University’s Journalism School to join the club at no cost. The standard membership fee will be waived for these new journalists and they will enjoy all of the benefits afforded to dues paying members, with the exception of voting rights.
The club has championed working journalists and professional communicators for more than 60 years, providing both professional development and the chance to build connections with peers who share your commitment to quality journalism.
Membership in the New York Press Club offers recent graduates invaluable networking opportunities with fellow journalists across print, broadcast, and digital media throughout the metro New York area. The club hosts an annual Journalism Conference that brings together working journalists and academics, along with lectures and presentations on topics like press freedom, investigative reporting, and changes in media. The annual Journalism Awards honor excellence in journalism, celebrating the work that defines quality reporting in New York.

To be eligible, applicants must be able to provide proof of completion of their graduate school programs. At the conclusion of the one-year period, these new club members may convert to the standard, dues-paying membership.
